I am hosting Resolution #13. My challenge to you is a 'cardstock only' layout. The rules are:
First and foremost
-You need to become a member of Let’s Scrap.
-You must use a Let's Scrap sketch (there are many to choose from)
-The layout must consist of cardstock only (no pattern paper allowed!)
-You may use a few small embellies (ie, buttons, chipboard elements, flowers)
-You must post your layout in the Let's Scrap gallery and tag it with Resolution#13 and the sketch # that you used
The cool thing about cardstock, is there are a world of options. So many colors and types. You can sand, tear, distress, emboss, etc. The possibilties are endless! I used 5 colors of Core'dinates cardstock, glitter cardsock from American Crafts and a bit of kraft. Core'dinates cardstock is so much fun, because it is embossed and there are so many styles and colors to choose from. I sanded mine, to give it a bit of a distressed look. The glitter cardstock gives it some sparkle and the kraft adds a bit of simplicity. I used some of my Martha Stewart punches and very few embellies. Thickers for my titlle, some dymo tape for my journaling and I even sewed a bit. Here is my layout:
This is the sketch it was based on (ls119):
I flipped the sketch sideways for my layout:

YOur page is beautiful!! Great challenge! I THINK I became a follower...I subscribed to the feeds at the bottom.
Great challenge Dawn and your example layout is wonderful.
This is probably a silly question but how do you become a follower on you blog. I couldn't find the normal box that we click in and I see Kim wasn't sure either.
Thanks for adding the following box Dawn, I'm following you now.
I think this challenge is great. I definitely tend to think that there has to be pattern paper somewhere on the page. So, this this will stretch me and I love to be stretched.
Great challenge Dawn. I am tryin to learn to use "make the cut" with my cricut. Maybe I can cut something fun from cardstock to use for this one!
I am a new follower!

Charlotta
Well my Cricut Expression broke last week and don't you know my sweetheart husband went out and bought me a refurbished one? Now I know just what I can do with "cardstock" only! What a fun idea!
great idea for a challenge

Love the layout and the challenge. I used to use only cardstock all the time. I was afraid of patterned paper and didn't quite know what to do with it. Haven't done one without pp in a while though.
Hoping I get to participate in all of the blog hopping funness!

Cool layout. I love using only cardstock so this should be easy!
Dawn I loved this challenge as it really got me thinking...you layout is beautiful too. Thanks for the inspiration.
This was the first time I did a layout with just cardstock!! Thanx Dawn!
Loved your challenge dawn. I am now a follower and I have posted my LO in the gllery!
Loved your challenge Dawn, it is really lovely to see how inventive scrappers can be :D
This one will be hard for me. I love papers with lots of colors. Love your page.
Already finished this one! It was hard for me not to use any patterned paper, as I usually can't scrap without it, but I finally managed to (I also managed to ruin my LO by misplacing the ink spray when I was about to finish and had to start again!!!). I'm just waiting for some sun to shine and will then post the pic. Thanks for this challenge!
Not a problem. I just love cardstock. 99.9% of my layouts have cardstock as a base with little bits of pattern paper and embellishments. My wedding album (40double layouts) doesnt contain more than 5 sheets of pattern paper. This challenge made me happy :-) http://letsscrap.ning.com/photo/boy-meets-girl-again?context=user
I was a little unsure about this challenge (I love my patterned paper!), but I really enjoyed it! I'm following your blog!
Thanks for a great challenge! I've got my layout posted over at let's scrap.
I am now following..... this was a great challenge... really made me think a bit out of the patterned paper box! my challenge will be posted on my blog shortly at http://whatsupwithcathy.blogspot.com
Man cs only is a challenge - I like my pp! However I pushed through and got it done!
I stamped some cardstock to give me some patterns.

Great challenge Dawn! Way to get me to use up my scraps! Your page is beautiful! So glad I had enough time to finish this up! :)
HI Dawn - Just finished your challenge. I just have to find a somewhere here in Aus that stocks that Core'dinates cardstock. It is brilliant. Sadly I had none for my challenge and had to make do with embossing. Thanks for the great challenge.
my LO is in gallery :)
only cardstock... a stamp and rick rack... thanks!
I've posted both a page AND a card in the LS gallery for your challenge, Dawn. Thanks for hosting this@ I am already a follower.
this was so much fun. I had a great time looking at my cardstock with a different eye.
I have really enjoyed playing along with this blog hop. This resolution was one of the most difficult. That being said, the layout I created is one of my all-time favorites! Thanks for the inspiration.
