I really wanted Russell to win.

He is such a play-ah!

Lost.

This show is over forever.

Still not sure what to think of the finale???

24.

I loved this show and now it is over forever.

I will miss Jack Bauer.

The Idol season 9 finale.

My fave is Lee.

But Crystal is okay too.

Tomorrow we will find out.

Some shows are ending.

My Summer faves will be returning.

Plus I can always catch a game.

I love these boyz!

I Scrapped!

Yes I did. I have completed two more of Janna's Challenge's.

The first is for challenge #16 which is:

"My challenge for you this week: LOTS OF TEXTURE...doesn't mean lots of bulk...think VISUAL texture: find some NEW ways to add texture."

This LO definately has lots of texture and layering. I 'shopped my stash' again and found the perfect papers. They are some very old Creative Imaginations papers that I love, love, love. I wanted this to be a very cool boy LO that I could frame up to hang in Bryant's room. It really was a cool & exciting moment for him. He got to meet Don Orsillo! Don is one of the NESN (New England Sports Network) TV Red Sox game commentators. We see him on TV all the time and he met him by chance, before a game he went to a couple of weeks ago. Very cool indeed!

This next LO is for challenge # 18 which is:

"My challenge for you this week: TRY SOMETHING WITH A FANCY DIE CUT PATTERNED PAPER."

This is another one that created to frame up for Bryant's room. Bryant meeting the very entertaining Fitzy (aka Nick Stevens) who is the host of NESN's New England sports trivia game show 'Pocket Money'. I really loved this pic of them together and thought that it would be cool for B to have. I again 'shopped my stash' and used some more of my old favorites. I used some old Scrapworks paper that I love and some cool Jenni Bowlin papers. they really seemed to blend together well AND I sewed on the page. I love how this one turned out!

I am not going to lie. It took me forever and a day to complete these two pages. I wanted them to be perfect. Sometimes it just happens that way. It is okay. I love the result. Now I need to find the perfect frames and up on B's wall they will go.

TFL!

Happy Scrappin'!!

It Is 'All About Rick' for Her

For one of my oldest and best(est) friends, Lisa, it is all about Rick Springfield. It always has been, for as long as I have known her. Yes, she is definately a lifetime true blue fan. So, when she asked me (many months ago now) to please make some thing for her out of bunch of pics she had. from seeing Rick live over the past couple of years, how could I say no? My original plan was to give it to her for Christmas, but Christmas came and went. So, my next goal was her birthday. Which I am happy to say, is a goal that I did make. I am glad I waited. More time to get creative.

So here is the Rick album. I love the letter pages I found to spell out his name. It really personalizes the whole thing.

This first pic is of Lisa and her Mom at one of Rick's shows:

Rick rockin' out and some close up love:

Adoration from afar:
More great pics. Never enough of Rick for Lisa:

Here is the backside of the album:

Handmade by ME!
Happy (belated) Birthday Lisa! Enjoy!

Oh...and speaking of Birthdays...Happy Birthday to Josh Beckett!

A long Journey has Finally Come to an End

Remember this? It really has been a long time. This is my circle journal. I participated in my first ever circle journal group with 9 other very talented scrappers, that came together through 'meeting' over at the Studio Calico message boards and it came to a reality through our very good friend Aleida Franklin. I really wanted to be a part of this and so did many others. It ended up becoming 3 groups. Aleida was key in getting all the groups set up and also the one who initially was keeping it going with gentle reminders that we were only to have one persons journal for a month and to then pass it on to the next person. The process was suppose to be only ten months and then you would have your own journal back, completed. Well, that is how it should have gone, but after losing Aleida this kind of fell apart and slowed down. Slowed way down. I guess with life moving on and no gentle reminders, things just got pushed to the side. My original journal went out in July 2008. Almost 2 years ago. You can check out my original post HERE. I was able to finally get my hands on mine this past week. Lucky for me, one of my friends in this circle just happens to live near by. I did not know this in the beginning, but we have now become great friends. My journal was only needing one more peresons entry and I will be sending her the pages real soon. I really want the circle to be complete.

So, shall we check out the pages? OK. The theme of my circle journal is music. We all love music. All I wanted was for everyone to show how music influences their life. These first 2 are My pages. I love music and sing whenever I can...not saying that I am any good, but it truly makes me feel good. It is all about being happy...right?!

These are Judi 's gorgeous pages. Music surrounds her life from her daughter's playing piano to their beautiful ballet recitals. Love this Judi! It makes me want to sing and dance!

These next pages are Aleida 's. She had posted them way back, so I was able to see what she had done, but I must say they are even more beautiful in person. I still miss her very much.

Here is another view. Her pages were a tribute to Salsa and she even included a CD of her favorite Salsa music. Absolutely gorgeous!

The next pages are from the amazing Anilu. I love her clean & simple scrapping style. Amazing and gorgeous!

Michele loves Christmas music and also included a CD of Christmas classics. I love this! Aren't her kids just the cutest?

I love Amy 's style. She is an amazing scrapper. She creates amazing pages. Check out the ones below. She even sewed on the pages. I need to start doing that more. Her kiddos are so cute!

These pages are from Denise . A little mood music. I LOVE this! From the little 'play' ticket, to all the little pics, to the fun CD she also included. Very COOL indeed!

These pages are from Jen . Very simple. Very classic. AND she sewed on the pages too! Love it and love the title 'Broken Record'.

These pages are from Anne . Very artsy and full of bling. So Anne and SO beautiful! I also love how she printed the names of the musical artists and bands that she enjoys, right on the kraft paper. Very cool!

The last pages are for Greta . I will be sending them out to her this week. I can not wait to see what she comes up with and then my circle journal will truly be complete.

This has been quite the project and a long journey, but I am so happy that I was able to be involved.
TFL!
Happy Scrappin'!

Instant Weekend Plans...

Yesterday, I spent a good part of my day at CKC.

I got to hang out with a couple of my favorite people. That would be my fellow BASB girl Anne & my good friend Deb. We had a great time. We laughed. We were inspired. Oh, amd yes, we shopped.

The event was much smaller this year. I did not buy too much. I really do not need anything. I just completed a huge overhaul of all my scrap supplies. It was time. I did find a couple of goodies that caught my eye. A few odds and ends. Some Pink Paislee paper & letters and some pretty blue flowers & TC bling.

I got a pack of the new Basic Grey Basic papers in white. These are going to make great background papers.

Oh, and last but not least, I got the complete line of Teresa Collins Designs new Travel Ledger. Everyone knows how I love me some TCD!

After a nice lunch with Anne & Deb, I went home and watched the Bruins game. It started at 12:30, so I recorded it and also the pre-game show. So glad I did, because one of my favorite past Bruins LB (Lyndon Byers) was one of the pre-game commentators. This is a pic of me and LB taken this past December when he was doing the WAAF Walk for Change. I stopped to drop off a donation on my way to work. LB is awesome!

So...then we watched the game AND what a game it was. It totally rocked! Round 2 Game 1. Bruins win 5-4 in OT and the winning goal was scored by HIM:

That would be the amazing Marc Savard. This guy was injured way back on March 7th and this was his first game back. How fitting for him to get the winning goal. Boston fans are so psyched! Go B's. Celtic's are in the playoffs too, but did not have a good night. Don't even start on me about the Red Sox. Boy oh boy, do those boys need some help. Well, they need something. Not doing so great this season so far. I know, there is still a long ways to go.

Well, for a weekend that I was suppose to be taking a Jenni Bowlin class, it did not turn out so bad. A little fun on Saturday. Got a bit more cleaning done today. My storage room looks great now, I must say. The weather has been beautiful. No complaints. I did not get to scrap one bit this weekend for National Scrapbooking Day, but I will make up for that this week...for sure!

Hope you had a great weekend too!

Happy Scrappin'!!!

Some inspiration to help get my scrap on

As you know, I am a big fan of page sketches. One of my favorite sketch sites is Pencil Lines. I am always amazed at what their DT and guest artists can create out of some of the simplist sketches. It is like artwork. Those gals are so creative! Just recently they released their first book and I knew that I had to get one. It arrived yesterday and I have to say that it does not disappoint. Very inspiring indeed!

Today I am heading up to CKC in Manchester, NH. Getting to meet up with a couple of friends (that I hardly ever see) and checking out some cool scrapping goodies, sounds like a win-win for me! A perfect way to start my weekend!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!!
