Word Up #10: PERFECT

This time around the word was perfect. I realize and can accept that I will never be perfect. I am old enough now to know that I will never have the perfect look, style, body, smile, hair, skin, personality etc, etc, etc. I could go on and on and on. But, I am truly okay with that. I can only be the best person that I can be. So, I guess that is as close to perfect as I can get.
I had a great time playing with the Riley line by love, elsie. TFL!!! :-)

LOVE this card...

I love this card! I made it for my friends birthday. (Not you Stace if you are reading this! I have one for your Birthday too! ) :-) I have been so in a card making mood lately. Sometimes it is hard for me to give them away. Is this a bad thing? I made it with the beautiful Fanci-ful line by Janna Wilson for Junkitz. This paper is just so pretty! Love, love, love it! Enjoy!

Elliott Yamin Live

I am a bit of a an American Idol junkie. Along with millions of other people all over the country! Later on this week I am going to see Daughtry live. This past Summer I got to see Ellliott Yamin live. He was AWESOME! It was a bit of a local scandal. There was a local Battle of the Bands event advertised and Elliott was being promoted along with it, as the main event. Come to find out, when the details were being finalized for Elliott, it was all a scam. These were not Elliott's "people". Well, Elliott found out about this and wanted to do the show anyway. There were probably less than a thousand people there. I am sure he did not make any money at the event, but he sure made a lot of people very happy. Including us. He is amazing! If you ever get the chance to see him, definately check it out. My friend Debbie came with us and took some great pictures. I finally was able to scrap them! I made this cool book with a line called "Playlist" by Emily Adams. I have had this line for a while and have been waiting for a chance to use it. It was perfect for this project. You can check it out here : http://www.acherryontop.com/gallery_viewer/,,,,51561,,65058 Enjoy!! :-)

In 4 days I am going to see this HOTTIE live in concert. WOO HOO!! I can't wait! I am finally going to see Daughtry! Along with Matchbox 20 (Rob Thomas is not so hard to look at either! ) :-) I am actually going to see Mixfest. A concert that is put on by one of the Boston Radio stations that I listen to. I am so excited! I am sure you couldn't tell. :-) This is my first concert in a looooong time and it is going to be so worth the wait. So the countdown begins. Is it Saturday yet???

TGIF

I made it through this week! On top of still being tired from last weekend, I also survived the big changes at work. I am still in a fog. I just have to keep thinking that everything will be fine. Deep breath...eveything will be just fine. Anyhoo..it was very cool to see the R & L racecar at work the other day. Though Matt Kennseth is not my driver, I loved it. Nascar is my other passion!! We also had a great lunch supplied by Subway. Yummo! Here are a few pics...Enjoy!!!

Losing 4 Teeth in 6 days...

Yay! I am finally getting to post this LO!! I originally planned this as a one page LO. My son had lost 2 teeth, but he eventually lost 2 more. All in a span of 6 days. Unbelievable!! So anyway, it became a two page LO that I absolutely LOVE! I love Basic Grey! How can you not?? It is just so pretty!!! Love the distressed look. Needless to say, the Tooth Fairy knows our address AND she must be running out of money. Right?? Enjoy!! TFL!!

Changes...

Lots of changes going on at my workplace. A couple of "Big Wigs" are now just gone! It is all just so surprising and a bit scary. It does not really affect my job directly, but it does affect me personally. Hard to explain! Just trudging on. Today they are having a big cookout/employee appreciation day. Kind of good timing, huh?? It is going to be sponsored by R & L Carriers to thank us for our business. They will also be bringing their Nascar showcar that is driven by Matt Kennseth. Should be fun!! Since it involves anything Nascar, everyone has been coming to me with questions. Questions about who drives the car, questions about the driver, the sponsor etc. I am the reigning expert, I guess. (HA!) Anyways, speaking of Nascar, I wanted to share a few pictures from Loudon. One is of the winner (Clint Bowyer in the Jack Daniels sponsored car) and one of me (worlds greatest Tony Stewart fan!) Have a great day!!!

I Survived Another Loudon Weekend...

I survived Loudon this past weekend. Saturday started out rainy and crappy, but it turned out okay. Sunday was a beautiful day. Sunny and cool. The race was okay. I did have a good time. My man Tony finished 3rd, which is okay. The race was dominated by Clint Bowyer. This was his 1st win, which was exciting to see live! All in all, I am very tired. Very, very tired!!! I will leave you here with a picture that I took of Tony (yes, I was that close!) in Daytona this past July before the Pepsi 400. I will post pictures of Loudon soon! :-)

Teresa Collins-Part 2

Just a few more...

Teresa Collins

Anyone that knows me, knows that I am a total "Junkitz junkie". I LOVE all of their products!!! I got an e-mail that Teresa Collins had sent out, saying that she is no longer going to be designing for Junkitz. I am happy for her. I know it was a hard decision for her, but she has to do what is right for her and her family. No matter what her future holds, she will continue to shine. She is an extremely talented lady and very inspiring to many! Best of luck Teresa in all you do! Here are a few of my favorite LO's using her AWESOME designs! TFL!!!

Cards

I have been in a great card making mood lately and been having a lot of fun with it. I really do have to be in the mood for card making, because it does not always come easy for me. I don't know why??? So, I wanted to share a couple of the cards that I have made recently. I made both of them with the amazing Extreme Boy line from Junkitz. One is a Birthday card for my friend/co-worker. The other was for my son's (YMCA) after school director. He is awesome and we as a family wanted to thank him. I wanted to create some cool "guy cards". I LOVED how they came out (and so did they!) Yah!! TFL!!!

Yesterday...

9/11 is such a sad day. Even though I personally did not lose anyone, I can not help but feel sad. I can't even say the date or even write it down without thinking about it. I watched a tribute to some of the families on Oprah that focused on the children. It made me cry. I can not even imagine what they are going through . It breaks my heart! Let us not ever forget what happened or the people that were left behind. It will always be a black day in history.

Happy Monday!!!

Today my son lost his 4th tooth in 6 days! All of them in the front! 2 on the bottom and 2 on the top. WOW! The Tooth Fairy definately knows where we live AND (she must be broke!!) HA! Of course I have fabulous pictures to document the whole thing! Can't wait to share the LO that I am working on!

I wanted to share some info on the LO that I posted yesterday. It was my 1st one using the fabulous Love, Elsie line. She is AWESOME! I was lucky enough to meet her last August (2006) and take a class with her at a cute little store called B and E Scrapbooking (located in Goffstown, NH). At the time, she could divulge that she had her own product line coming out, but she could not tell us with which company or much more than that. It was not going to be revealed until October at CHA. You could tell she was busting at the seams. She is just so cute! So now some of the lines are out (a year later!). They were not carried by my LSS. So, I did what any other desperate scrapper would do. I ordered it online! Thus, there is my 1st LO, with many more to come! A GREAT surprise did come out of all of this. Check it out!!! http://www.acherryontop.com/article?a=1324 I am the 8th LO down. I was so surprised and excited when I got the notification. I was not lucky enough to get pictures of Elsie with my own camera. It totally died that day! I was so upset! I called the store owner to see if I could get some copies from her. She said yes! She didn't even know me! Thanks Rachael! That was my 1st time in her store! Here is the LO that came of my favorite photo of Elsie and my book that she autographed! I tried to do it in true Elsie style. I e-mailed it to her and she loved it! That made my day!

I am just testing at the moment. More soon! Dawn out!
