Monkey-ing Around

With Spring coming, that means it will be time for some Spring cleaning. As much as I dread that, I do love the feeling when it is completed. Part of that project will be to weed through all my scrap supplies and hopefully get them some what organized. The reason I say this is, everytime I am looking for one thing, I come across 10 more things that I love (& forgot about!) For example the paper, rub-ons & pic below, that I have now finally scrapped. This pic was taken a couple years ago at the beach. I loved the 'monkey x-ing' sign, and we had to get it for B, 'cause we call him our little monkey. It is such a fun pic. I also had bought the monkey paper around that time and had always planned to scrap that pic with it, but it somehow got lost in the shuffle. Well, I can now scratch this one off the list. It is finally complete. A LO scrapped just for fun! Our wild, crazy, silly little monkey:

So, in a couple of weeks my organizing will begin. I look forward to all the goodies that I will find (again!). I do love to buy new stuff, but it is always fun to 'shop my stash' too! Maybe, if all goes well, I will share some pics. Wish me luck now.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Janna's Week 11 Challenge

Remember Rock 'em, Sock 'em Robots? I had them when I was kid. Good times. Well, Bryant saw them in the Sears toy department a while back and he had to have them. How could I say no?! Such a simple toy has caused so much laughter between us. We have been having so much fun (and I guess, getting a little aggression out too-LOL!) I took a couple of cool pics and have been waiting for just the right time to scrap them. Janna's challenge this week was the perfect opportunity. The challenge is:

MIX it UP!!! Try some fun bright patterns and do something that makes you happy!

I shopped my stash and came up with this:

This definately made me happy! I combined all kinds of stuff. I used paper from Cosmo Cricket, Prima, My Minds Eye, even the background paper was from Teresa Collins Junkitz Halloween line. I loved the bright colors in the pictures and I wanted to carry them over onto the page. I really loved the result and have to say that this is one of my favorite LO's at the moment.

I am really getting my scrap on with these challenges. Come play along. You can check them all out HERE.

More TCD Fun

I finally got back to completeing the othe two LO's that I have been working on with the fabulous Chic Bebe Boy line from Teresa Collins Designs . I love this line! I really enjoyed creating with it. All my projects just came together so easy with it. So different, simple & classic. The LO below is a pic of Bryant taken about a year & half ago. He asked me if he could use some of my stuff to make something and that it was going to be a surprise. He was playing around with my scrapbook supplies and came up with this. Of course, I had to document it. The pattern for this LO came from a "30 minute LO" design that I had seen Janna Wilson create a whle back. Loved this idea and it worked perfectly for this:

It was all about Bryant's birthday last weekend and now that he is 10, it had me reminiscing . This is a pic of Baby B, less than a day old (and me):

This is a beautiful line and it comes in a girl version too. Check it out. You won't be dissapointed.

A Few More

I am still playing along with Janna's 52 Weeks of Stress Free Scrapbooking. I am really loving this. It starts with a basic challenge & you can just roll with it. It is really helping me 'get my scrap on'. Here are 4 more that I have completed recenty.

Week #7 the challenge is:

This week I challenge you to scrap some photos that are less than perfect...okay, maybe even bad...it's all about the memory!!!.

These pics were taken at a Kenny Wallace fan club gathering at the Loudon, NH nascar track. Bryant actually got picked during the question & answer segment and Kenny had him come right down front. Of course I followed with my camera! It was a dark and rainy day, with not the best of lighting, but I was able to get a f ew pics. Granted not the best pics, but it is 'all about the memory' right?

I know I have posted this LO before. I really love this paper!

This was for challenge #8:

Get your stitch on!!!

I have not done it often, but I am starting to stitch on pages more. I just liked the idea of stitching the pocket on this LO to make it look more real:

Challenge #9 is:

Make a layout with ONLY ONE PIECE OF PAPER! WHAT? yes.

This was tough for me at first, but once I found the right pic & piece of paper, it just all came together. I love this pic of the milk, cookies (& note) that Bryant left for Santa last Christmas eve. It is just one of those perfect little memories:

The Challenge for Week 10 is:

THREE in a ROW. Do something, anything...with three of the somethings in a row. :) Have fun!

I have been wanting to scrap this pic for a long time now. It is just one of those silly pics that I love. Bryant goofing off in a local toy store a couple of years back. It always makes me smile. Though the pic is mostly primary colors, it does have a bit of pink mixed in. I tried to tie it all together with the frame around the photo and the '3 in a row' hearts at the top. A very colorful LO indeed!

Today Challenge #11 will be posted. Come play along. You can check out all the challenges HERE. It may even help you get your scrap on, too...

My Baby Turns 10

Today "Mom's Favorite" turns ten. Well, not officially until 6:06 pm. LOL! On Saturday we celebrated big with Grammy & Grampy. First with a very cool Jeff Gordon cake:

The very happy (& patient!) B-day boy:

The best gift ever....an i-pod touch:

Check it out:

Then a cool Bumblebee (from Transformers) card from Grammie & Grampie:

Which inside, held the funds to buy this cool Lego set. Which he informed us, was his second favorite gift:

Yesterday, he & Dad went to a cool car show in Boston & had a great time. Not a bad Birthday weekend, I must say. The weather has not been that great, but that did not dampen Bryant's spirits at all!
So Happy Birthday Little Man! You truly are the love of my life!

Lovin' Me Some TCD

Teresa Collins Designs that is! So, I got my hands on one of Teresa's newest lines, called Chic Bebe Boy:

The following are three of the LO's that I have created so far. I say so far, because I already have a couple more that are still in progress. I really have been on a roll. For the first LO I wanted to showcase a few pics of Bryant that I had taken recently. I just love these 'non occasion, in the moment' pics. He is a happy kid and truly my 'pocket full of sunshine':

Again, I really do love the 'daily moment' pics. These are a few of my faves of Bryant from last year:

Yes, this angel baby is really my son. This pic was taken when he was ten months old. I still, to this day, think this is the cutest picture ever! A 'Blessing' indeed:

The roses on the last LO are a designed by the very talented Stephanie Ackerman.

I met her briefly at CHA-Summer a couple of years back (on my B-day) and she was very sweet. You can get Stephanie's rose pattern HERE.
As you can see I am (finally!) getting my creative mojo back! It is always easier when you have great products to scrap with and the cutest kid ever!
Happy Scrappin'!!
