Happy Halloween

Though for the last 2 years Bryant has chosen to not trick or treat, we still like to enjoy the Halloween festivities. One of our favorites is carving our pumpkins. Here are the 2 we chose at the farmstand a couple of weeks back.

We have been wanting to carve them for last couple weeks, but simply have had no time. It really was a beautiful day.

The worst is cleaning out the guts. Ewwww...

But, it is worth it,when the end result looks this cute.
Yes, we like the basic, simple pumpkin faces.

They look so cool in the dark...ooooooooo....

I hope you all enjoy Halloween with your families, no matter how you spend it! We shall be watching the Nascar race at Talladega (Go Tony!) and the Patriots/Vikings (Go Pats!!) It's all good! Maybe I shall get in a bit of scrappin' too...
Happy Halloween!

Weekend Full of Goodness

Remember this? A few weeks ago, I was asked to by my friend Jonnelle to join in a Halloween tag swap. So glad I did, because this littlle box of happy mail arrived at my house on Friday. The beautiful and extremely creative tags from all the other ladies, along with some extra goodness from our hostess:

Here is a better look at the tags I recieved:

So creative:

and totally amazing:

I loved them all! All very different and all so festive! Looking forward to our next swap...Winter Wonderland.

Speaking of festive, Bryant and I had a nice lunch date on Saturday and then did a bit of shopping. We could not help but play with some of the fun Halloween items we found. Love this pic of B in the witches hat!

Sunday B and I had lunch with a friend and then headed over to our local scrapbook store to say "Hi" to Tim (Holtz). He was teaching a few classes there over the weekend. I have taken many classes with Tim over the years, but this time I passed. Bryant really likes the cool things he does, so we had to stop by for a quick visit. Tim is amazing and gracious and just plain ole wonderful! I really can not say enough.

Here is Bryant meeting Tim the first time, back in 2007. He was so nervous and excited! He looks so little back then...

I really did not get any real scrapping in this weekend, but I did mangage to get together and start prepping my stuff for my December Daily. I am really excited to be getting it ready early this year:

I know I did a lot this weekend and at the same time I have been fighting a cold that has been kicking my butt! Last year at this time I was in Martinsville, VA watching a Nascar race wth my good friend Kathy and not feeling well that weekend either. Yikes! Hopefully, I will be feeling better soon...

Oh....Boston your my home

Okay, not really. Just know that I have been fascinated by this city for as long as I can remember. I love that it is so close and really just a train ride away. This past Saturday, my family and I headed in for a bit of an afternoon adventure. The plan was to head toward the Kenmore Square/Fenway Park area. It was such a beautiful Fall day.

We had an early dinner at Remy's. We love it there!

Checked out the sights around Fenway Park.

And of course we had to stop here...

We love the Supah Fan Store. The owner, Kevin, is doing a coat drive for homeless vets and we made sure to drop off a few. He even took a picture of Bryant and posted it on his Facebook page to advertise the event. So cool!

It was a long day. Lots of walking. (Did I mention, that even before we left for Boston, we did a 2 mile walk to raise money for the Boys and Girls club? This is where B goes after school every day.) A very fun day indeed but, definately time to head home. B was silly tired as we waited on the train at North station to go home.

One last thing that I wanted to share. I created this LO, based on a sketch provided, threw my hat in the ring and tried out for the DT over at Let's Scrap.

I got the exciting news yesterday, that I have been chosen for the November-January DT. I am so psyched! This was a great start to my week. Check out the site if you get a chance. Lots of good stuff going on over there!

Fall is in the air

I love Fall. Everything is so colorful. It smells so good outside. One of my favorite things to do, every Fall (at least once) is visit the farm stand. So much to see and do. We took our first visit last weekend. We started by checking out a few pumpkins.

Then we headed over to pick a few apples:

B even picked a couple to give his teachers:

Perfect:

There was a corn maze too:

And we have to do our annual photo with the big scary Scarecrow:

It was a perfectly beautiful day.
Speaking of perfect a day...yesterday, B, my friend Regina and I headed to the beach. I love living close to the beach. We took Regina's convertible. B loved having the top down as we were heading in:

One of the first things we saw was this really cool sand sculpture:

Here is Regina & B:

Smile!

It was a cool, crisp, sunny day at the beach.
Lots of fun.
Lots of laughs.
Loving these Fall days. Enjoying some outdoor time as much as I can.
Also, enjoying some scrappy time.
Remember this?

Some beautiful Teresa Collins products and few other embellies. Well...they turned into this pretty little album for a co-worker friend who just got married recently. She loves it. This makes me so happy.

More scrappy projects in the works.

TFL!

Happy Scrappin"!

Happy Fall!!

All for fun, fun for all

I just returned from an amazing whirlwind trip that start with this:

The amazing 'Inspiration Unlimited' event hosted by one of my favorite gals...the fabulous Teresa Collins:

I finally got to meet (IRL-after all these years!) my all time favorite crafty friend. I love this gal! The Janna Wilson:

IU was amazing. I took 6 classes from five teachers (Stephanie Ackerman, Janna, Liz Katchner, Janet Hopkinton and 2 from Teresa). I even had a surprise bonus class from the owner of Bella Blvd, It was amazing. It was alot. I won't lie, I was tired. The time difference did kick my butt, but I am truly glad that I got to be a part of this amazing event. I even met a new friend. She was my roomie Karen. She is a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and me being the huge Pats fan, we really got along great. Really. We talked a lot about sports and scrapping and family. She is now on Tim Holtz's cruise of the east coast. Lucky girl!

Once I left IU. I headed to Phoenix. My first day I spent being lazy and watching sports. I truly did not feel like doing much of anything and needed a break. The next day was the whirlwind tour of the city. One of the places I had to go to was the University of Phoenix Stadiun. This is Arizona Cardinals NFL team home stadium. It is also where the New England Patriot's lost their perfect season in Superbowl 42. Yes, I had to go there...and give them a big GFY...

They actually roll the grass out of the stadium to get some sun and grow:

Another place I had to see, being the Nascar fan that I am, was the Phoenix International Raceway. Okay, so I did not get to see much, but at least I was there:

I also got visit with a couple of friends/co-workers while I was there. I had a great time. Time went by quick. Now I am home. Back to reality. Happy to see my family. I really missed them. Trying to get my home back in order and still making time for a scrappy project. This one is for a gift. Can you believe I am already back to scrapping. Yes, I am obsessed. It makes me happy...

Have a great week!
Happy Scrappin'!
