Press Your Luck

I just wanted to share one more layout, before I start sharing my Christmas crafting. Can you believe tomorrow is December 1st? I created this one for a challenge over at Colorful Creations. This was a random challenge called 'press your luck'. Basically you picked a number and were given your own challenge.  The challenge I was assigned was to use a baby pic and butterflies. I really loved the result. These are picks of Steve and his grandson, taken about a year ago. They look so happy here. Pure joy.

Happy Scrappin'!!

Color, creating and...smoothies?

I look for inspiration everywhere. One of my favorite places to go for mojo is Pinterest. It is such a happy place. So many ideas to be found there. Like for instance, inspiration from this beautiful color pallette:
It was perfect for this Fall layout of B, which was also inspired by a sketch from Kelly Purkey's Sketchpad
class and an online challenge over at Colorful Creations :
I also love this color pallette:
Perfect (with a little help from my Scarlet Lime kit) for this layout of B's first day of school this year:
This one was inspired by a simple sketch I found over at Colorful Creations and more Scarlet Lime goodness. The perfect layout for B's school book:
The layout below was based on a sketch challenge that was hosted by Sasha Holloway over at Colorful Creations. Truth be told, she is how I found out about the site. She is amazing! It is a very cool place. Check it out if you get a chance!

Why a pic with me drinking a smoothie? Two years ago, when I was at the IU event in Vegas, I discovered THE greatest smoothie place. I tried it once and I was addicted. When I was there this year, I went there everyday. I told you that I was addicted! Ha! After 3 days, I was greeted by name. Crazy, I know! Great customer service...

I completed a ton of layouts and have been having the best time scrappin' over the past few days. I finally got my mojo back. It has been a while. Now I am totally in the mood Christmas crafting. Woo Hoo! Bring on the holidays!!

Happy Scrappin'!!

Fall Smiles...

Fall is beautiful here in New England.
I love that it is still warm and sunny.
It is beautiful weather for apple picking.
My Mom and I take Bryant every year & he loves it.
Even though we go to the same place every year,
I still take lots of pics.
That of course I need to scrap-ha!
I tend to usually gravitate toward Christmas papers
for these layouts, because the red & green is perfect.
These papers are by Ruby Rock-it.
It is their new Christmas line, that I got for free at IU.
(Woo Hoo!)
So pretty!
Also every Fall, Steve & I get to catch up and visit with our friend 'Fitzy'.
He is amazing!
Dinner & a comedy show, hosted by the one and only.
It is a great time (and one of our few date nights).
But, at the moment, I have to say that this makes me the happiest:
My man Tony Stewart is the Sprint cup champion!
Love this Pic!
This long  time fan is so happy to see Tony win championship #3
& his first one as a driver/owner.
He is amazing!
Now that the Nascar season has ended,
I can now concentrate 100% on Pats football.
It is tough when sport seasons overlap each other.
So...
Yay Tony & Go Pats!!!

Enjoy the long weekend!
Keep smiling!
Happy scrappin'!!

Ten on the Tenth

I have seen people do this on different blogs. Top ten lists.
My favorite is 'ten on the tenth'.
So...in no particular order, here are 10 things that I love.

1.) Pics like this make me happy. Ahhh.. Fall in New England. I love our annual trip to the farmstand, to pick apples and pose among the pumpkins.

2.) Sketchpad is Kelly's newest online class. Great ideas from some of my favorite peeps!

3.) This beautiful kit from Scarlet Lime is due to arrive very soon. Sadly, it will be my last for a while.

4.) I love a good sitcom to take my mind off everything. '2 Broke Girls' cracks me up!

5.) 'The New Girl' is another fun sitcom that I love!

6.) Two more races in the 2011 Nascar season and my man, Tony Stewart is in a prime spot to win the championship. I am over the moon excited! Go Tony!

7.) I love Darren Criss (who plays Blaine on Glee). One of the best lines said about him, was on Glee this week. "You are like sex on a stick and you sing like a dream." Yes!

8.) I love this man. Ever since saw him (that would be season 4 of The Shield) and now he is on Hawaii Five-0. Hot!

9.) Though I have not done much scrapbooking lately, I have been a bit crafty. Like, I painted this fun skeleton. Since I work at a medical company, I thought he could hang on my office wall all year long. Fun!

10.) I was asked by a co-worker to decorate a donations box for a fundraiser she was having. I was more than happy to oblige (and to use up some of my pretty Scarlet Lime kits, that are sitting around in my stash).

What are your top ten???

Happy Scrappin!

The Tree..

This beautiful tree, in our work parking lot:

That I documented here (in one of my favorite layouts):

Now looks like this after the recent (early!) storm:

I am heartbroken.

Dang New England weather...
