Cool New Stuff For Me..

Look at this!!! I recieved these 2 kits within the past week:

Okay, well the 1st one is not exactly a kit. Below is a class project by The AMAZING Teresa Collins . Basically what is included with this is a DVD of Teresa hereself going through her creative process. It is not the class persay, but a guideline. She promotes making this project your own. In otherwords, not exactly like hers. She includes exclusive stickers, journaling word sheets, color pictures and guidelines. The ATC is not included, but I already have mine. Theses things are so COOL! I think that I will use mine to document 2008. Starting in January. It will be a unique project to me. Here is a pic of Teresa's:

Next is an AWSOME kit from the very CREATIVE Donna Downey. I have been trying to get my hands on one of these kits for FOREVER it seems! This is one of the last ones that she had, as these will no longer be available. It is called "The Fabric of My Life". It is a cloth minibook that requires sewing. My new thing this year will be sewing. For crafts that is, not clothes or anything. LOL! But, I do plan to buy a sewing machine. I really LOVE the look of stitching on scrapbook pages!! Plus I really LOVE this minibook! Check it out:

Also, speaking of Donna Downey, she is going to be here . So, if you live in the area (Pam, Debbie, Stacy D.) come check it out! I will be taking 2 of her classes. I can't wait!!
Happy New Year everyone!!! Stay safe and have a drink for me!! :-)

It is Officially New Years Eve..

Yes, it is!! AND....without further ado the WINNER of this..

Top Ten...

Recently I came across this place through my friend Aleida Franklin. I was very intrigued. There are so many sites out there for scrapbookers. I really am enjoying this one. They have a blog challenge on their message board that I thought that I would try. Pick 10 of your favorite LO's from this past year. It was hard, but here are the 10 I picked (not in any particular order!) :

This one I made with Love, Elsie. Her products are so whimsical and FUN! This pic went perfect with this paper. Great BLUE tongue, huh??? LOL!!

This is the first LO I ever did WITHOUT a person in it! I became a little obsessed with Sketcher shoes over the past year. This pair being one of my favorite.

I made this LO for a class I taught at a LSS.

I made this LO for my DT work at Paper Jam Studio. It too, was with Love, Elsie. How FUN!!

I LOVE this pic!! It was so CUTE with the Bo Bunny paper!

My "Cool Dude"! A fun Scenic Route LO.

This pic was taken on the day before I turned 40. I did this LO for OLW using the fabulous Fanciful line designed by Janna Wilson.

I came across these cute pics of my son on a Florida vacation. Of course I had to scrap them! I used the very colorful Celebration line by Junkitz.

I made this LO for my best friend from highschool. Now 40 and still FABULOUS!!

I got to meet and take classes with the AMAZING Tim Holtz, a couple of times this past year. Of course I had to scrap it! This was from the very first meeting. :-)

Okay, so I had to add one more. This a list of actually 11. I made this with items from my Scarlet Lime kit. I am learning to scrap more about myself. It is hard. I really do like this LO. It actually says: Believe in Yourself and you can do great thing. I do really believe this!

I know this is a long post. TFL! Here's to all the great scrapping to come in the future!!! :-)

Reindeer Cookies for Santa

We had so much FUN making these! It was messy and yummy and it made us so HAPPY!

I just had to share!!

So SWEET! Santa LOVES you too little man!!

WOW! I can't wait to scrap these!! Have a wonderful night! Sweet dreams... :-)

The Goodies

Okay everyone, I wanted to post pics of the RAK Giveaway that I am having. It is so exciting! As of today I have 11 people entered, but there still is time to throw your name in. I am not picking a name till New Years Eve day. All you have to do is post on my December 22nd post. It is that easy! So without further ado....
Here is a pic of it all...

First there is a wooden box that I painted and decorated with the beautiful Laguna Boy paper. Inside is 2 packages of Thickers Foam Letters from American Crafts (one is called cream soda and is an olive color. The other is called cappuccino and is a greyish blue color), a 12 x12 K-ology Addison Specialty Papers (24 sheets of 2 sided papers), Grand Adhesions flowers and words (so pretty!) and a box of chipboard letters.

Here is a close up picture of the front of the K-ology Specialty Papers pad:

AND here is the back (with some GREAT project ideas!)

PLUS....last BUT NOT least, a Basic Grey Christmas card kit. You did not think that I could do a giveaway and not include some Basic Grey (since this is where it all started) did you??? :-)

So, only a couple more days. Remember, all you have to do is post on my December 22nd post (NOT todays post!) and I will pick the winner on New Years Eve day. Good Luck to ALL!

Junkitz

My son drew this for me a while back. It seemed that I was frequently getting boxes from Junkitz (either buying or winning!) I couldn't get enough!! ***Note..He is 7***

As many of you now know, Junkitz has closed its doors forever. It really saddens me that they are no longer. Most of you know Junkitz is my all time Favorite scrapbook company. Yes, there are many other great companies out there that I LOVE, I won't lie, but there was always something about Junkitz that kept me coming back. They have some really great products! The other thing about Junkitz is the people. I have met some AMAZING people through this company (online and IRL). First the owners Stacey Panassidi and Kenny Panassidi. They made me feel welcome the first time we ever met and have treated me like we have always known each other. Stacey is so inspiring to me and always compliments and supports my work. And Kenny, you always make me laugh. You WILL become a Nascar Fan (and a PATS fan!) if I have my way-HA! Next their Design Team Leader Debbie Hill. I have been very lucky to meet, spend time with her and consider her a friend. Plus, it is so COOL that she lives nearby. Thanks Deb for all of your support and good times. Next there were so many talented women on the DT. Kathleen Taylor my fellow Tony Stewart fan! This is one talented lady! Maybe someday we can check out a race. I have never been to Richmond.... I know you will be VERY busy soon with the new baby, but maybe we can get together and scrap someday. :-) Kathy Marie Perez gave me my first ever DT opportunity at Paper Jam Studio . For that I am so THANKFUL!! She is very creative energetic lady. Next is Gretchen McElveen , she is AMAZING. She was even a finalist in the SOY. No surprise here! She also is a fellow Nascar fan. She loves Jr and he is my other favorite. Last, but not least, is Mary Russo . I finally got to meet her at CKC-Manchester this past May. I am in AWE of her talent!

Junkitz has also had some truly inspiring designer artists. I have gotten to know Janna Wilson over the past year. She is so creative. She inspires me and I inspire her. I LOVE that! She is the BEST!! Teresa Collins, what can I say about this lady that has not already been said. She is truly gifted and we are all lucky to have her share that gift with us! I think I first heard of Tim Holtz through his products with Junkitz. WOW! He has exploded into this "mostly womens" hobby. I got to meet him a couple of times this year. He is the COOLest!!!

So, even though Junkitz is no longer, I really enjoyed it while it lasted and I have met some great people that I will ALWAYS be inspired by! There are even a couple of "Junkitz Junkies" that I have become friends with: Kelly Morris and Pam . You gals ROCK!!! I am so glad to have met you! :-)

I have seen some of the negative stuff that is out there. It disappoints me. Don't people have better things to do with their time? I support Stacey and Kenny in their new venture with Inque Boutique. I think that they can do great things! Best wishes!!

Are You Ready??

TWO more days til Santa arrives! Can you believe it??! It is so exciting! Are you ready?? We are on a daily countdown. There is just no way to forget here. LOL!! I made this little chalkboard / countdown to Santa's arrival for Bryant. He LOVES to change the number each day:
Here is a closer look:
And another close look at the super cute tiles surrounding the chalkboard:

AND how CUTE is this kid? I guess he was good enought this year, so Santa will be visiting. Haha..

And one more thing (last but not least) that I wanted to share. These cute Boyd bears that my friend got me for Christmas. She said it was "so me". I think she is right!! :-)

Don't forget to post on my prior post to be in the drawing for my RAK giveaway. I will draw it on New Years Eve. I am going to be posting a pic of the goodies soon. I have some AWESOME stuff!! Have a wonderful evening!! :-)

Pretty Prize Package

This week at work has been crazy busy with the holiday's coming. Month end. Year end. AND the weather has been very challenging. So I really have been very tired with all this and preparing for Christmas. I am not complaining (well maybe about the weather! LOL!) I do like to be busy at work and I LOVE the hustle and bustle of Christmas. So, when I came home to a package from Basic Grey, I was so excited! It was my prize package. This really is the first time that I have ever won anything from something that I made. I am so proud!

They were more than generous! Look at ALL the stuff that I got!! There was a pack of paper from the Periphary line (my FAVORITE at the moment!), a pack of paper from the new Two Scoops line (this is not even in stores yet! It is so PRETTY!), 2 sets of book plates, book clips, magnetic tie backs, buttons, ribbon, rub-ons and a Pecision Tool Kit! WOW!!!

I just can not stop smiling!!! In honor of my winnings, I want to do an RAK giveaway just from me. I do not know how many people are out there reading my blog, but all you have to do is post below. I will pick a random winner next week and send out a prize pack, just because.

I'm a Winner!!!

Basic Grey has been a favorite of mine since the beginning. They were different from all the rest. I love the colors, the designs and the distressed look of their paper. This year I entered their Holiday Card Contest. I love the card I made! This was the first time that I had ever entered a contest with something I made. Last week the e-mail came: "We love your card. You are one of the winners of our Holiday Card Contest." I was so excited! I wanted to shout it from the rooftop! Then the follow up e-mail came: "please do not tell anyone (spouses only!) until all the winners are reveiled in the December newsletter." Well, the newsletter is now out and just know that NOW that I am shouting from the rooftop....."I am a WINNER!" Without further ado...here is my (winning) Christmas card:

Here is the newsletter link December 2007 . There were so many entries that they picked 3 and 3 honorable mentions. I am one of the honorable mentions. Check out all the great enties in the gallery here http://www.basicgrey.com// . Thanks Basic Grey!! You ROCK!!! :-)

Weekends Just Fly By..

Boy, am I glad that Monday is over. Closer to Friday, ya know???! Took this FUN pic in the car this weekend. Yes, I was driving down a main street and taking pictures. I thought it was cute!!! LOL! :-)
Wanted to share these CUTE pics of my son Bryant showing off his journal that he altered (all by himself). He did a great job, if I do say so myself...
He LOVES Tim Holtz. He made this in what he calls "Tim Holts style". Painted, inked, distressed, sanded, altered etc. He is so proud of it! Me too!!! :-)
He even made the paper crown. Very creative, I must say! Where does he get it from???
I have so many cool things going on. Lots of creativity in this house. AND I have an awful sinus cold! Yuck! I am trying to not let it slow me down. I just got my NEW DT kit for Paper Jam Studio. So exciting! I even have a couple of things that I have created lately, but I will share those next time! Just wanted to share one more thing. Though I did not make this, I had to share. A co-worker of mine has been making these like crazy, for Christmas decorations at work. Friday I got to work and this was on my desk. I was so excited! I know Orange and white are not very Christmas-ey, but they are so me. You see, I am Nascar driver Tony Stewarts greatest fan! So, I can really keep this hung up all year round!! YAY!

Don't forget to check Tim Holtz's blog. Today is Day Three. He is AMAZING!!!! :-)
