The night before school starts, Bryant's school always hosts an open house. A chance to see his newest classroom and to meet his newest teacher. This is just outside his classroom. Lots of new expectations and possibilities....
Bryant was very nervous the first day, but he still let me take his picture:

I felt nervous for him too. I remember feeling that way every year when school started. Once he made it through the first day, he was fine. Back with his friends. Back in a routine. Back to normal. All is fine.
Still no homework...yet! That part we dread. But, them is the breaks kid...
