This week I've been tagged by my sweet friend Nancy (thanks girl, this was so fun!). I thought that this would be something really cool to try! It's such a fun tag!!!! It's called "Photo" Tagging!
So now I tag Liz , Debbie, Diana , Jonnelle, Tami and Anilu ! Can not wait to see what pics you gals come up with!
I scrapped about my newest favorite ornament using mostly items from my December Scarlet Lime Kit and a few other goodies from my stash (Heidi Swapp metalic chipboard letters, a Jenni Bowlin calendar card and Making Memories journaling paper). This was a challenge for me. Wow, one piece of paper, but then it just came together and I loved the result. Check out the challenge and the other FAB LO's from the gals here, They are truly awesome!
Well, after hearing about this for the past week or so, I finally got my hands on it. IT would be the latest issue of CK magazine. The February issue has an article about 5 scrapbookers that have a made a diference in the world. The first person featured was my friend Aleida. She was killed in a car accident this past September. This was so upsetting to her family and friends. Aleida had a lot of friends and I am happy to say that I was one of them. She has connected me with a group of friends that I treasure and I am so thankful for that! Love you girls!!
This is LO that I did for a Resolutions Challenge over at Studio Calico. I LOVED the idea of scrapping my hopes and plans for the New Year. The idea for the LO came to me instantly and it all came together in a flash. I knew exactly what I wanted to do and loved the result. A New Year always makes me excited for all that is to come. What are your resolutions??
This LO is of my BFF and I at a Kenny Chesney concert this past April. We had the best time!
This is a picture of my friends Debbie, Debbie and I at CKC Manchester:
We LOVE David Cook in this house and really enjoyed rockin' out with him on American Idol:
This past Summer my son decided he wanted a mohawk. Of course I had to document that! Plus I had a lot of fun playing with a little grungeboard:
I also had fun playing around with a little sketch I found online, some pretty Pink Paislee papers and a pic from my office. Glad I did this then, because I have a new office now:
My friend Judi sent me these papres and embellies for my B-day and I decided to use them for the Scrappin' The Music challenge at the time, The song was 'It's My Life' by Bon Jovi:
The best birthday present I ever got was my opportunity to go to CHA Summer. I met so many fabulous people! it defiately was 'The Time of My Life' and again, I played along at Scrappin' The Music ". I actually won the RAK for this LO:
Another company that I am really LOVING is October Afternoon. I was really drawn to these papers and I had to have them. Here is my new address book:
I love the card workshops that Nancy Vandenberg has on her blog. I decided to take this one a little further and create a LO instead. LOVED the ambrosia line by Basic Grey:
Last, but definately not least is a LO I created for my challenge over at the BASB. It was to put together a kit from your stash and create a LO or card (or both) with it. I had a lot of FUN with this and used up a lot of odds and ends from my stash:
First, I rubbed the rub-ons all over the plastic (in no particular fashion):
Next, I used my Quickutz to cut out the letters that are to be my LO title:
I LOVE the random 'snowy' look of them. I used silver rub-ons with a black background, but you could make so many color combos. All being so unique and different. Here is a close-up of my title:
and...ta da... my completed LO. Of course, I also used the fabulous Scarlet Lime November kit (I just LOVE the colors!):
I had seen this idea used before for embelishments, but never for letters. So, I thought that it would be different. This is my take on the challenge. Give this a try or create something of your own. We would really LOVE to see what you come up with. There is still time. You have until January 14th. Oh, and did I mention there is a really cool prize for the winner? You can check out the challenge post here. Good Luck and have FUN!
Days 23 & 24-Finally got to go for a visit with Santa and Christmas Eve we must never forget the cookies and milk for Santa:
Days 25 & 26-One very happy little boy on Christmas day and I also wanted to share my newest (and simplest) favorite ornament:
Days 27 & 28-A last look at our pretty tree and Bryant's newest friend from Build a Bear:
Days 29 and 30-We loved this snowman in the Applebees (restaurant) lobby and a new (toy decoration) Santa from my Aunt:
Day 31-It snowed quite a bit, which was fine. We stayed home and relaxed and watched the ball drop from the comfort of our livingroom.
Loved this project and had a great time documenting the month. You can see the complete album here. Now I am going to try to document the whole year. If I can do this, I think it will make an awesome year in review. Don't you? Hey, I made a rhyme..hahaha..Yes I am tired. Have a wonderful evening. :-)
I don't get to scrap with pink very much, so I guess this was my chance to go a little wild. I used some bright papers from Hambly, Lil Davis and some pretty Prism cardstock that I got in a kit from Sis tv called 'Rock Star'. I Love how funky and fun they are. Of course I had to add some aqua bling. A girl can never have enough bling! LOL! Here is a top view of the card. Again really loved this design! You can check out Nancy's class here.
I also wanted to share 2 things that I have decided to try this year. One is 'project 365' (taking a photo a day for the whole year). This will make a great year in review next January. Check out my friend Debbie's here for 2008. Love this idea!
Pages 10 & 11-Nutcracker scenery that Bryant helped paint at the YMCA and a sweet ornament that he made for me. So cute!
Pages 11 & 12-A bad ice storm we had. Though the pics look pretty, it was very dangerous and a lot of people lost power for days/weeks. Luckily we only did for one day. The next day we were at a small Christmas party and Bryant got lots of cool toys!
Pages 14 & 15-Bryant with his half brother Stevie and the day we finally set up our tree!
Pages 16 & 17-Some cute hats of co-workers and our tree in the caf at work. I love the Patriot hard hat tree topper!
Pages 17 & 18-I know there are 2 (pg 17's), but I also loved the Christmas cupcakes that were made for our Christmas potluck at work! I also love these huge toy soldiers that stand in the center of town in Hudson, NH every Christmas.
