So come play along. There is a great prize from Precocious Paper up for grabs.
I also played along with a sketch challenge over at the My Minds Eye blog:
I used some very old MME papers that I have been hoarding in my stash. Here is my take on it:
Today I will be putting the finishing touches on my LO for this weeks upcoming sketch at Let's Scrap. It's a good-y! Also need to bake some cookies and get some cleaning done. I thought Sunday was suppose to be a day of rest! Ay yay yay!
Based on this week's sketch:
I may not be feeling Winter, but I am definately feeling the Christmas spirit. I love Christmas. I have been pulling out some pics from past years. Like this 'Cool Santa' one I took of Bryant last year. I have taken some of the greatest pics of him over the years. I had the best time creating this LO with some of my favorite Pink Paislee papers and letters from my stash, too. I have seen many grid type LO's over the years and wanted to try one myself. It was perfect for this one:
I was blessed to be included in this 'White Christmas' tag swap with some amazingly talented ladies. I have these beauties proudly displayed in my office for all to see. Makes me smile!

You can check out the 2 pager here. There is a fabulous RAK from Pretty Little Studio.
and....Pink Paislee's Twelve Days of Christmas begins!!!
I have been really busy creating with the awesome sketches from Let's Scrap. There are so many great ones coming up...
Here is the sketch for this week that it is based on:
The sketch, the pics and Teresa Collins Chic Bebe Boy papers were perfect for this 2 page LO. So over this long weekend, make a little time for yourself and scrap. Need a little mojo, check out here and here for some great sketches. Play along with us over at Let’s Scrap. Get some scrapping done and maybe even win some prizes...
It is a lot of work, but the reward is sooooo worth it!
TFL!
Happy Scrappin'!!
Go Pats!!
The final decision for the team came out this afternoon. I was not chosen. I will admit that I am a bit bummed out, but I know not everyone can be chosen. It definately has not detered me from trying again and I continue to be creatively obsessed...ha!
Every year we take a trip to Brookdale Farm in Hollis, NH to pick apples, get our pumpkin and get a pic with the 'Big Scary Scarecrow'. Teresa's 'Family Matters' line was perfect for our Fall family pic:
Last, but not least, was this album that I put together for a co-worker friend that recently got married, using the 'Mr. and Mrs. line. She and her hubby love it and this makes me so happy. That is what it is all about!
I wanted to share something that really made my day today. Coming home to some surprise 'happy mail' from my sweet friend Jonnelle. Lots of pretty Fall goodness. Thanks sweetie! You're the best!
As always lots of fun sketches coming up at Let’s Scrap. I also finished some 'White Christmas' tags for a tag swap I am participating in. I will share soon!
Based on this sweet sketch:
I have been waiting to scrap this pic of Bryant with his half brother's new baby boy for a while now. It is just such a precious moment and I wanted the LO to be perfect. Here is the sketch I based it on:
Kristen's challenge (#76) was to use at least 3 of these colors (along with black, white or kraft):
That came from this photo :
I used very muted versons of the colors and I love how the LO came out. Sometimes things just click. you know. I literally threw this LO together in less than hour last night. that rarely ever happens! So, if you are looking for some ideas, go check out Let's Scrap. The sketches and challenges are so much fun. Think of all the scrapping that you could get done, plus you might win a prize, just for playing along. Who doesn't love that?
Or you can do a one page version:
I chose the one page version this time:
I had these cute pics of Bryant, from when we went apple picking a couple months ago. He wanted to make sure that he had the perfect apples for both of his teachers at school. I think he did did a pretty good job, don't you? And...I have also had this KI apple lace paper forever! It was perfect for this project (along with a bit of bling, of course!) If you like sketches, have lots of pics and lots of goodies in your stash (like me!), then this is for you!
..bound together with Teresa's 'Mr. & Mrs.' Flocked Covers, to create my 2010 December Daily:
I love this yearly project inspired by Ali Edwards. It may take a little work, but I love to look back on the memories of years past. This is actually the first time, that I have had it 'ready to go' this early. I am so happy about that. I love Christmas and I am sooooo looking forward to creating yet another treasured keepsake.
I flipped it on it's side for my LO. It just worked out better with my pics:
This is my LO:
There is also a 2 page version that you can check out Here. The DT's take(s) on both versions are amazing. I feel truly blessed to be included with all these talented ladies. Come play along with us. There is a great RAK this week from Stash to Treasure. This is an amazing prize!
We have been wanting to carve them for last couple weeks, but simply have had no time. It really was a beautiful day.
The worst is cleaning out the guts. Ewwww...
Yes, we like the basic, simple pumpkin faces.
They look so cool in the dark...ooooooooo....
I hope you all enjoy Halloween with your families, no matter how you spend it! We shall be watching the Nascar race at Talladega (Go Tony!) and the Patriots/Vikings (Go Pats!!) It's all good! Maybe I shall get in a bit of scrappin' too...
Here is a better look at the tags I recieved:
So creative:
I loved them all! All very different and all so festive! Looking forward to our next swap...Winter Wonderland.
Sunday B and I had lunch with a friend and then headed over to our local scrapbook store to say "Hi" to Tim (Holtz). He was teaching a few classes there over the weekend. I have taken many classes with Tim over the years, but this time I passed. Bryant really likes the cool things he does, so we had to stop by for a quick visit. Tim is amazing and gracious and just plain ole wonderful! I really can not say enough.
Here is Bryant meeting Tim the first time, back in 2007. He was so nervous and excited! He looks so little back then...
I really did not get any real scrapping in this weekend, but I did mangage to get together and start prepping my stuff for my December Daily. I am really excited to be getting it ready early this year:
I know I did a lot this weekend and at the same time I have been fighting a cold that has been kicking my butt! Last year at this time I was in Martinsville, VA watching a Nascar race wth my good friend Kathy and not feeling well that weekend either. Yikes! Hopefully, I will be feeling better soon...
