Sketch # 11 - Pink

Though the Sketchbook Four class is over, I am still plugging away at the sketches. I get on a bit of a roll and I just want to complete them all-ha! The layout below is my take on KP's sketch #11:
The pics are from Bryant's fifth grade play (Tide Pool Condo's)last year. I have been meaning to scrap them for like...forev-ah! He did so good. He spoke his lines loud & clear. He knew all the songs. He knew all the dance moves. The only thing that he did not like was...that his costume was pink! Oh well...

A bit more sketchy fun...

Everyone knows that I love a good sketch. Some sketches grab my attention right away and others I look at as a challenge. I looked at the one below as a challenge. It looks so simple, right? That is where I have a problem. I have a hard time with simple. I like lots of 'stuff'. The sketch below is last weeks 'Sunday Sketch' from the Studio Calico blog:
Here is what I came up with. I love this pic that Steve took of Bryant. Steve won some Red Sox tickets and took B, not me. That's okay though. They tried their hardest to get noticed by our local tv announcers to let me know that they were thinking about me. Love that!
Though Kelly Purkey's Sketchbook Four class ended this week. I have a few in process and I still have few more to work with. Very inspired! This layout is a couple of pics I took last summer of B and his cousin Ben. They look and act more like brothers, rather than cousins. They really are the coolest-ha! I found the perfect papers called 'A Boys Life' by EP. The colors and designs were perfect, cause you know that I am all about the matchy, matchy.

More projects to share soon!

Sketch #8 - You'll shoot your eye out kid!

I have had these pics of Bryant for a while now.
My Dad has been teaching him how to handle a gun properly.
Bryant is a bit obsessed with guns.
I think that it has to do with all the 'shoot em' up' video games out there...
This sketch from Kelly was perfect.
Simple enough to really showcase all the pics
and
the 'City of Lights' & 'Sorbonnne' kits from Studio Calico
had the perfect colored papers.
I really am all about the matchy, matchy-ha!
I love how this layout came out!

More to share tomorrow...

Sketch #1 - Art Show

Mom's favorite had a piece of his artwork
in the Arts Alive art show last Spring.
This show is a combination of art work
from many students, from multiple schools,
in the area and held at our local highschool.
We were so proud that Bryant
was asked to have one of his projects
in the show.

Here is his artwork up close:

Oh yea...and I had to scrap about it!
I have had these pics for a while,
waiting for just the perfect layout.
I love the sketch I used by Kelly Purkey.
Sketch #1
This sketchbook four class really
has inspired me.
I mean really,
who doesn't love a great sketch?

Sketch #6 - So Full of Wonder

This layout is my take on sketch six
for Kelly Purkey's
Sketchbook four class.
I am on a roll!
I got to play with Studio Calico's
newest kit, 'City of Lights'.
It is so pretty!
Our kitty Theo is an indoor cat,
and a part time outdoor cat.
We bought him a little harness and leash
and he loves it.
He is a little timid, but always amazed.
The birds always catch his attention...ha!
I took this cute pic of him,
one of the first times he went outside.
I love his look of wonder.

I think that this may be my favorite layout so far. :)

Sketch #4 - Aeropostale

Bryant has been asking to get an Aeropostale sweatshirt for a while now.So for Easter this year, we decided this would be the perfect gift, since he no longer believes in the Easter bunny (insert sad face here.) They grow up so fast. He also wanted a few t-shirts too...
Imagine his surprise when he woke up Easter morning to all these goodies! I love this pic of him with all his new fashionable goodies. Yes, off course I had to scrap about it!
This is my take on sketch #4 from Kelly Purkey's Sketchbook Four class over at Studio Calico. I have been so inspired by this class. It definately has brought my mojo back. The sketches are really great and the takes on them have been amazing!

More to share soon.
