Fitzy's Hosting a Game Show?!

I LOVE this show!!! Funny thing is you do not have to be a major (New England) sports fan. You really know more than you think!!

Summer LO's

This is just a quick post to show a couple of fun Summer LO's that I threw together recently (ya right!) . This first one came about through a challenge among us BASB girls-a stamp challenge at that. Loved the challenge. I knew I wanted to use my Studio Calico Carter alphabet. I keep looking at it in my scrap room and I have been dying to use it. Not only that, it was perfect to use on this LO, created with the very fun, summery Directors Cut kit. Put them together & voila:

I recently had a very relaxing "me" day at the beach. Gotta LOVE those! The pic I used on this LO was actually one of my 'pics of the day'. I wanted to document this rare day and I had a blast, doing just that with the gorgeous June Scarlet Lime kit:

Two awesome kits. Two fun LO's. I love Summer...

Happy Monday!!

Vacation Mini

Yes! I finally finished my vacation mini album! I am sooooo happy! I have had this project in the works for a couple of weeks now (and you thought I had not been scrappin'!) This year for our vacation we did not travel far from home. We did day trips and it was awesome! I felt waaaay more rested.

Okay, so without further ado... here it is. I put the whole thing together with this Bo Bunny album, my June Scarlet Lime kit (I loved these colors!) and a little bling. It all just came together so perfectly. Here is the cover:
The first 2 pages are just about an afternoon spent at Bryant's Auntie & Uncle's pool. Though he was the only one that happened to go in that day, it started his vacation off with a fun afternoon:
The next 2 pages are about an afternoon we spent taking the Duck boat tour in Boston. Bryant even drove the boat a bit:
The next 2 pages show the fun we had at our first Fisher Cats baseball game:
...and these 2 pages show some pics from the beautiful beaches of the Cape. Can't get enough of the beach!
These last 2 pages show us visiting the homes of our 2 favorite sports teams; Gillette Stadium-home of the New England Patriots and Fenway Park-home of the Boston Red Sox:
We had a great vacation and now we are back to reality. But I now have a fun little album, full of memories, to share with our friends and family. I think I have my scrappy mojo back...I was starting to think that I had lost it. More scrap projects to come...

Have a great week!!

A Little Me Time

Yesterday, I took a 'Me' day. Just me, all by myself, to do whatever I wanted. I chose to go to the beach.
It was a beautiful day!!!
Just me, the sun, the sand and a good book.
The waves were not too strong.
Walked casually along the shore.
There were not many people there.
The water was warm, so I took a swim...or 2.
I spent a great couple hours there, swimming, sunning and I finished my book. Woo Hoo! Then it was time to head home.
Since it was 'My' day...I even stopped for an icecream on the way home. It was a great day! I need these once in a while. How 'bout you??
Enjoy your weekend!!!

A bit more Fenway Fun

Last weekend my Dad was able to get some tickets to a couple of 'farm team' games that were being played at Fenway Park. One of the teams is the Pawtucket Sox, which is where many of the Boston Red Sox players hail from. So my parents, Bryant & I headed to Fenway.

We were in a totally different area of the park. A section that I had never been to. Lots more photo ops, like these championship banners:

This very cool vintagey looking sign:

Just looking up and back from where we were sitting, you could see this wall that faces outside the park:

A few cool things inside were, Red Sox beer on tap:

This huge picture made of all Lego's:

Even this Wally (our mascot) bench:

Bryant had a great time!

He even became part of 'Kid Nation':

Here is where we were sitting. up top, in the shade. Good times!

Any opportunity to spend a beautiful day at Fenway and I am there! Love the 'cathedral of Baseball' as my frind Anne says. I know this gal can never get enough of Fenway Pahhhk. LOL!!!

A Little Happy Mail fo Me

I can not say enough how much I love to get mail, well happy mail anyways. Friday was a great day for that. Look at the pretty birthday card I got from my fabuluous friend Jonnelle. She is the best! I love it Jonnelle!!! Thanks for the little goodies inside too!

I also received 2 of the Studio Calico add ons that I ordered with my GC from the BASB girls. Can you believe I have only used half, so I even have more to spend, Yay me! This one is called 'No place like home'. I loved the vintage style of it and the bingo mini album is so COOL!

I also got 'Directors cut'. Love the travel/road trip theme of this one. So FUN!

I know I have not posted any scrap projects lately, but I was on vacation. I promise to post more soon. I am in the process of putting together a vacation mini as we speak. I can not wait to share!
Happy Sunday...I am off to the beach!!! :-)

Duck Boats

This past Friday we headed into Boston, just for this:

Yes, a Duck Boat Tour. For those who have never been. It is a historical tour around Boston in a land/water old war vehicle. This would be our second time taking the tour and we were really excited. The last one we took was 5 years ago and now that Bryant is older, we thought that he would understand it and enjoy it more. We took the train into North Station again. Right after we arrived in the city, this was the first thing we saw. Yep, Keith Urban's tour bus. He was in town for a concert that night. Very cool!

We had a couple of hours to spare before the tour, so we had a little fun. Even though the weather was in and out all day, Bryant loved playing in this fountain. He barely got wet!

On the train ride in earlier in the week, we saw this ad. It was an ad for 3 books written by Hank Phillippi Ryan. Hank has been an investigative reporter for our local (channel 7) news for over 20 years, so this caught our eye.

It had started raining, so we headed into the local mall and got some lunch and then decided to go to Barnes and Noble to look around. To my surprise as we walked in, there was Hank Phillippi Ryan signing her first of the 3 books that are coming out. I did get to chat with her a while and I mentioned that we had seen the ad on the train. She loved that!

She signed my book, "For Dawn, Thanks for seeing my poster on the T! Keep in touch. Hank Phillippi Ryan". Very cool indeed!

Finally we were off on our tour. Here I am in the front seat:

On part of our trip we are out on the Charles River. The driver lets a few people take over the wheel just for fun (and photo ops too!) Go B!!

Here is our boat "North End Norma". Our driver Ray was awesome and we had a blast!!

These boats are always used during our sports teams celebration parades. This boat had a ton of autographs on it. Jason Varitech's (Boston Red Sox catcher/team captain) autograph was right above me:
Speaking of the Red Sox, check out this boat. Love it!

Though the weather was not the best on Friday, we had a great day! We really had a great week. Vacations are GOOD!

Fenway Park

One of my all time favorite places in Boston is Fenway Park or as they say, Fenway Pahhk. LOL! We have lived here in New England forever and have never taken the tour. Been to many games, but have never taken the tour. So Wednesday we took the train in and finally saw the tour. We even got 2 tickets for free (bargain!) for being part of Red Sox Nation. Cool!!

We had a little time to spare, so we had lunch at one of our favorite spots, Boston Beer Works. Love, love, love the Blueberry Ale. Yum!!

Jim Rice finally got inducted into the hall of fame! Yeh #14!!!

Was able to get a better view of 2 of our most recent championship banners while on the tour. Here is 2004:

and here is 2007:

This a view just above the Red Sox dugout:

During the tour they sat us all around the park, so that you could check out different views. This the view from the front row of the Green Monster seats:

NESN is the station that broadcasts all the Red Sox games. I had to get a picture of this! My man Josh Beckett's pic was on the side:

and speaking of Josh Beckett....he just happened to come out and practice while we were there. I was a little in shock...OMG!!!

Here we are. I know this pic looks a bit fake. They took it right at the beginning of the tour and you could buy them at the end. Of course we did. I have to scrap it, no matter how bad my hair looks...

Though we did not see the real 'Wally' mascot, I thought the stand-in was just as cute:

These were only a few of the bazillion pics I took that day. I think I may put together a mini album just on Fenway. Memories....
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!
