YAY...the Weekend is Here!!

This has been a long week. I have been so tired. Staying up to watch the Red Sox games has really taken a toll on me. There was no game on last night, so I was able to go to bed somewhat early and sleep in a little late today. Woo Hoo! We of Red Sox nation are so HAPPY that we have won the 1st two games of the World Series. Tonight is game 3 in Colorado. I am so excited!!! I have so much to get done today, just so my butt can be firmly planted (beer in hand :-) on my couch at 7 pm to start off the night with the pre-game show. I know I am a little obsessed. Weekends are tough with Red Sox, Patriots and Nascar. Whoooo! No wonder I am so tired! Tired but smiling! I did see this when I was looking through all the entries to the One Little Word challenge. A cool take on this time around's word Believe. GO RED SOX GO!!!!
Like always, I probably will be scrapping a little as I watch the game. I did promise earlier to share a couple of LO's from my October
Scarlet Lime kit. I actually e-mailed Christy Tomlinson who designs these kits, all 3 of my LO's I made so far. She e-mailed me right back. She loved them. That made my night. She so ROCKS! Here are 2 more. The other one was my Believe OLW entry.

Oh...one more time....GO RED SOX GO!!!!! :-)

Red Sox Win Game 2 of the World Series

The game started with the AMAZING Schilling:

Red Sox fever is still running rampid in New England. We won again!! YAY!!! This is so exciting! At my work everyone is wearing their Red Sox gear. We have been having hot dogs and peanuts and Cracker Jacks. Today there are going to be raffles to give away all kinds of Red Sox stuff. Like I said, we really have the FEVER! So we have won game 2. YAY!!!
The game ended with the AMAZING Papelbon:

It just keeps getting better!! At least tonight is a reprieve. No game on tonight. I can go to bed early and sleep in late (at least I will try to!) :-) GO RED SOX!!! Game 3 is on Saturday!!! GO RED SOX GO!!!! :-)

Red Sox Win Game 1 of the World Series

The Red Sox have won game one of the World Series! This is so EXCITING!!! Red Sox Fever is everywhere. Josh Beckett ROCKS! And he is so CUTE too! I absolutely ADORE him. He always appears so calm and in control. LOVE that! The game was AMAZING. I scrapped as I watched. I do that quite a bit. Scrap while I watch TV that is. People always wonder how I can do that. I'm not saying that it is not a slow process. Sometimes it is hard to concentrate on both. I did finish a page last night. I have done a couple more with my October Scarlet Lime kit. I will try to post them either tonight or tomorrow. Probably tomorrow though, cause game 2 is tonight. Did I mention that we have won Game 1? :-) I am and will continue to be tired, but it will all be worth it when we win the World Series. Plus, Mr. Beckett has promised to dance when they win. I can't wait to see that! :-)

OLW-Believe and Scarlet Lime

I absolutely love the creative kickstart that the One Little Word challenge provides. It really gets the creative juices flowing. Just imagine how one little word can really make you think and create in a way that you never have. It is a great change. Here is my take this time around. It is for the word believe. I have truly started to believe strongly in myself and my abilities. Thanks to the great support I have from family and friends (old and new). I finally got to play with my Scarlet Lime kit. It is so pretty! I had a great time with this LO. A totally different look for me. I LOVED how it came out. TFL!! Have a GREAT day!!! Go Red Sox!!!

Tired, but Happy

The Red Sox are going to the World Series and the Patriots are undefeated in 7 games! Woo Hoo! It is so EXCITING!!! All is perfect in New England sports! How was your weekend? Even though yesterday was pretty much spent watching sports all day (and yes, there was a Nascar race in there also), I did get a lttle scrapping done. Yah! Friday night I went to a crop at Debbie Hill's house. My friend Deb (from work) and I took the trip down after work. We had so much FUN! I met a few new people (Jill, Deni, Pam) and I got to see Mary Russo again (she is so amazingly talented!) We had so much FUN and we laughed a lot! Mostly at Debbie, but she is just so funny and entertaining! AND yes, we actually got some scapping done! Here are a couple of LO's that I did. I also started a couple that I will post really soon. I am almost done my One Little Word challenge. Like I said, got a little scrappin' done. Thanks, Debbie! I had a great time and I can not wait to do it again! Hope you all had a great weekend and that your week flies by! I can't belive that it is Monday again...

Scarlet Lime

Look what I got in the mail this weekend. My October Scarlet Lime kit by christytomlinson . She is amazing! When I heard she was starting her very own kit club from Janna Wilson. I had to check it out. I was so excited when it showed up. I feel like I've been waiting for forever for it to arrive. It even came with a little candy, which my son scoffed up. I got to have one piece, though. YUMMO! Look how pretty it is!! So pretty, that I just want to look at it for a while. I am going to a crop on Friday night. This is definately coming with me. I can't wait to play and then show you what I create! If you are interested, you can check it out here :Scarlet Lime . Enjoy the rest of your Sunday evening! :-)

Pink For October

I saw this Pink for October on Debbie Hill 's blog this morning. Though breast cancer has not affected me directly, it is something that I am very aware of. Now that I am 40 (WOW! Did I just say that out loud?!), I have really thought about it. I have even scheduled my first Mammogram. So scary! October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. In honor of that I have made my whole blog pink. The best things you can do are be aware, be educated and get your mammogram!!!

Back to the grind...

Well, today was back to work after a nice long weekend. It was a Tuesday / Monday and it sure was busy! Shorter weeks are always crazy. I like it that way though. It makes the time go by faster! I was hoping for the week to go by fast, 'cause I had some FUN plans for Saturday. My friend Deb and I were going to be heading to Rockland, MA to take two classes with the AMAZING Stacey Panassidi co-owner / designer from Junkitz. My FAVORITE company, hands down. Yes, I said we were going. When I got home tonight, I got a very disappointing e-mail from the store saying that all her classes were cancelled. I am very bummed out! I was really looking forward to sharing a couple of projects with her. I had e-mailed pictures to her, but was anxious to show her in person. Maybe another time...

Sorry, I am not trying to bum you all out. I will leave you with the links to one of the projects that I was going to share : http://www.scrapinstyletv.com/portfolio/view_layout.php?layout_id=36654&user_id=3972 and http://www.scrapinstyletv.com/portfolio/view_layout.php?layout_id=36718&user_id=3972

This was a Travel journal that I made from an online class through BPS this past Summer called "Journey to Junkitz". I LOVED this project! I had so much FUN and was so inspired! Enjoy!! TFL!!

Happy (Holiday) Monday

This past Saturday was National Card Making Day. Did you celebrate? As I have said before, I have been sooooo in a card making mood lately. So this was perfect timing. Here are a few cards that I made using the Jack + Abby line from Love, Elsie. Elsie's products are so fun and whimsical. This is from one of the many kits featured at :http://www.paperjamstudio.com/index.php . Check it out! Lots of great stuff there!

We also took a trip to the farmstand, which I always enjoy. I really love Fall and everything about it. Here is one of the many cute pics that I took. I will try to post more later. Happy Columbus Day!! :-)

MIxfest

I was so excited about going to Mixfest this past weekend. Mixfest is a a big concert put on by a local Boston radio station As soon as I heard that the co-headliners were Chris Daughtry and the reunion of Matchbox 20, I knew I had to get tickets. I had to get tickets for my best friend and me. The tickets were pricey, but it was a date! I bought the tickets and then sent her out the invite. I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to celebrate our year of turning the "Big 40". Well, then the call came. She couldn't go! She would be on vacation and not returning until the next day. It was quite a bummer! I still was so excited to go see Daughtry. I was finally going to be able to see him in person! My boyfriend Steve and I went. we had a great time! It was great to see Chris in person (and our seats were very close!), but he didn't really have much of a stage personality. He sounded Fab tho!! When Matchbox 20 came out, I was blown away! They sounded just as FABULOUS as they did when I saw them 11 years ago! Rob Thomas looked AMAZING! I walked out of there thinking Chris was okay (I am glad that I finally saw him!) , but I am in LOVE, LOVE, LOVE with Rob Thomas all over AGAIN!!! Oh Lisa, you REALLY missed out! Maybe next time...
